Baaaaa

Welcome to the Big Merino! What is it? Well think concrete, think gift shop, think three stories tall, and think what it would be like to look through its eyeballs and you've got it. Thanks to Metal and Knit who saw the teaser and let us know that this 92 ton sheep will soon be on the move! Imagine if this sheep was real. We would all be rolling in wool for the rest of our lives.

Get Your Own!

Oh, speaking of wool...I'm headed here today. It will be my first experience. It was on Must Do list last year until the fair grounds turned into a swamp. Didn't think it would be much fun slogging through puddles and getting rained on, so this year will be my first. I'm sure there will be some stash enhancement even though I don't (gasp) have any specific projects in mind! But then, when has that ever hindered a yarn purchase?

Enjoy NHS&W, Gigi! I'm going with Katie on Sunday. And I'll see you at WEBS. I met Stephanie at NHS&W a few years ago, but it was raining (big surprise) so there were very few people there-I probably chatted with her for 10 minutes (long enough to compare purchases and discover I needed roving from the Sheep Shed. My even though I didn't spin. Though I do now. Fiber enabler.) I want to experince being part of a horde of knitters!

Hi! I like this little series of "what is" type things you're doing!

Good to see you today. I always enjoy talking to you!

I hope you enjoyed S&W, Gigi! Gryphon and I went earlier - I'm sitting here reading your post as I recover from the day. I was able to avoid buying fiber - I kept looking at it and thinking, "There's always another opportunity to buy good fiber, and I don't need any right this minute."

What I wound up with instead was tools - a pair of Weavette hand looms in two sizes. I've been wanting them for a while, and you don't always find them in stores, plus the price was a fair one. So I got a new toy, and yet another way to use up my stash!
